From the Editor's Desk...
Super Bowl Weekend!!! The time is finally here. Super Bowl Weekend for Texas Track & Field. The finalist have had two weeks to prepare and showtime is just around the corner. I still have to put out my predictions. They will be posted Tuesday. This year will be the hardest set of predictions to make because everybody is so even. I will tell you all what I think and you all go out and make it happen. I know I am going to motivate a lot of people, but that's why I am here. This could be the best state meet we have seen in a long time, especially in the 5A division for both boys and girls because there will be many team fighting for the team title. Not like in the 4A girls were we all know what's going to happen. An early congratulations to The Lady Tigers on their 7th straight title. I don't have many guarantees this year so it should be interesting picking and choosing who is going to win what. Athletes, the spotlight is yours. Go out there and put on one hellava show for the people. Anybody know what the weather is supposed to be like? Just a couple days away from the greatest show on mondo...Ronnie, can I still use it..lol. Football Update: By golly, I think he's got it!!! My man Tre' play his best game last weekend. He didn't even play the whole game but finally put up some numbers. He had 3 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery. On one play he was playing defensive end and the play went to the opposite side. The player was gone and my son came from the other side of the field to walk little man down and got him at the one. You could just the acceleration. Unfortunately, when Tre' tackled him, he fell forward and scored, but it was still a thing of beauty to watch. Oh we want them Crowley Panthers. We got one more game then the playoffs. I would like to say congratulations to the Regular Season World Champions...The Dallas Mavericks. Good luck to everyone competing. Holla at me if you see me.
